Massive 12TB Steam Leak Reveals Unused Half-Life 2: Episode 3 Content
A massive leak has surfaced, revealing over 12 terabytes of data that includes builds of every game uploaded to Steam from 2003 to 2013. Due to the sheer volume of information, not everything has been fully explored yet. However, some intriguing assets have already been uncovered, such as those related to the canceled Half-Life 2: Episode 3, cut content from Portal 2, and a game called F-Stop, which is set in the Portal universe and revolves around a camera mechanic.
The leak also features early versions of titles from various third-party developers. Notable finds include early builds of Call of Duty and Resident Evil games, along with versions of Mirror’s Edge, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Dragon Age: Origins. As more players sift through this treasure trove, additional discoveries are expected. Among the most captivating revelations are those tied to Valve’s Portal 2, where sleuths have uncovered deleted dialogue that alters the perception of Companion Cubes, alternative intro sequences, and GlaDOS interactions, as well as a version of the Weaponizer that was meant for Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
