Massive Price Drop on 2020’s Most Cinematic Action Game Now Available on PlayStation Store

2020 may have been a rough year for many, but it was a stellar time for gaming. That year brought us a slew of unforgettable titles, including Hades, The Last of Us Part 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch. Set against the backdrop of 13th-century Japan during the Mongol invasion, Ghost of Tsushima received an impressive nine nominations at The Game Awards in 2020, winning two for Art Direction and Player’s Voice.

Currently, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is on sale as part of the PlayStation Store’s Big Games, Big Deals event. The PS4 version is now available for just $19.79, down from $59.99 (a 67% discount), while the PS5 version, which is also playable on PS4, is priced at $29.39, reduced from $69.99 (58% off).

Launched in 2021, the Director’s Cut edition brings several enhancements over the original game, such as improved lip-sync animations for the Japanese audio, faster load times, better resolution and frame rates, haptic feedback for PS5 DualSense controllers, and 3D audio support. It also includes the Iki Island expansion, where protagonist Jin Sakai investigates rumors of another Mongol invasion, forcing him to confront painful memories from his past.

If you’re looking to expand your PlayStation library, there’s a solid selection of both recent and classic titles on sale. The Resident Evil 4 remake for PS4 and PS5 is now $19.99, down from $49.99. Last year’s indie hit, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is discounted by 20% to $15.99. The deluxe edition of Silent Hill f, one of the standout games of 2025, is half off at $39.99. Alan Wake 2, recognized as one of the best games of 2023, is available for just $17.99 after a massive 70% discount. Additionally, both the standard and deluxe editions of Bungie’s stylish extraction shooter Marathon, released last month, are 20% off.

The Big Games, Big Deals sale wraps up on May 6.
