May 2026 PlayStation Plus Games Revealed, Featuring a Notable Soulslike Title

PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to a fresh lineup of free Essential games for May 2026, featuring EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols, as announced on Wednesday. Players can start downloading these titles on Tuesday, May 5.

Here’s what’s in store for May 2026:

EA Sports FC 26 is the latest entry in the soccer simulation series from Electronic Arts, launching just ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, don’t expect the actual tournament to be included, as EA moved away from the FIFA branding in 2023. FC 26 boasts tournaments and live events, showcasing over 20,000 real-world players from more than 750 clubs and national teams. As a bonus, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an EA Sports FC 26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack as part of this month’s offerings. The game will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a Soulslike action RPG that follows the journey of Wuchang, a female pirate warrior who awakens during the waning years of China’s Ming Dynasty with no recollection of her past. Our review of this 2025 title highlighted its “layered and deep combat system,” although we noted some issues with boss difficulty balancing. This game will be available exclusively on PS5.

Nine Sols, developed by Red Candle Games, offers a unique take on the 2D action-platformer genre, featuring combat inspired by Sekiro’s deflection mechanics. Players step into the shoes of hero Yi as they strive to defeat the Nine Sols, the rulers of a desolate realm. Nine Sols will be accessible on both PS4 and PS5.

Don’t forget, you can still grab April 2026’s PlayStation Plus Essential games—Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream—until May 4.

PlayStation Plus Essential is the entry-level tier of Sony’s subscription service, providing online multiplayer access, a monthly selection of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. The subscription costs $79.99 annually, $24.99 for three months, or $9.99 monthly.
