Minecraft Dungeons 2 Set to Launch This September

Minecraft Dungeons 2, the follow-up to the dungeon crawler spinoff, is set to launch on September 29th. The game was first teased in a short trailer back in March, with a promise of a fall 2026 release. Microsoft described it as follows:

> Return to the world of Minecraft Dungeons in an all new action RPG adventure, brimming with high stakes encounters, thrilling challenges, and never before seen locations, as you set out to save a world in crisis. Will you and your allies prevail against the forces of evil and save the day once more?

Players can look forward to exploring Minecraft Dungeons 2 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The original Minecraft Dungeons debuted in 2020, with one reviewer noting it as a “lighter, more family-friendly take on Diablo.” Unlike traditional Minecraft, this game focuses on dungeon crawling and collecting awesome loot rather than mining or crafting.
