Mizu Unleashes Mayhem in London in New Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Clip

It’s been over two years since *Blue Eye Samurai* made its debut on Netflix, captivating audiences with its breathtaking animation and intense action. Fans have been eagerly anticipating season 2 ever since. A brief teaser released last summer hinted at the start of production, showcasing a flashback of our hero, Mizu (voiced by Maya Erskine), leading a peasant uprising. Now, we’ve finally caught a glimpse of what’s in store for *Blue Eye Samurai* season 2.

At the 2026 Annecy Festival, Netflix unveiled about a minute of footage from the upcoming season, which is on the horizon but lacks a specific release date. Here’s what we learned about Mizu’s continuing journey.

Season 1 wrapped up with Mizu capturing the arms dealer Abijah Fowler (portrayed by Kenneth Branagh) and setting sail for London, determined to track down and confront the men who might be her father. The new season 2 footage offers a first look at her adventures in Europe.

It appears Mizu has grown somewhat trusting of Fowler during their lengthy voyage. Upon reaching England, he’s no longer confined to a prison cell; instead, he’s by her side, promising to deliver the men she seeks within days. He acknowledges that it’s been a while since he last visited London, having spent considerable time manipulating Japanese politics, but boasts that the city once danced to his commands.

To draw out Routely or Skeffington, Mizu is thrust into an underground fighting match. As the crowd mocks the “ugly boy” being battered by two larger opponents, Fowler seems overly satisfied with the situation. However, Mizu soon turns the tide, delivering bone-crunching blows. An onlooker adds to the chaos by tossing a stick to one of the fighters, but this only serves as an invitation for Mizu to unleash her own weaponry.

While we still await a release date for *Blue Eye Samurai* nearly three years after the first season garnered acclaim, fans are hopeful for more of Mizu’s quest and updates on her former allies back in Japan.
