Capcom first announced Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection late last year, aiming to emphasize the RPG elements of this beloved spin-off series. Now, fans can dive in themselves with a free-to-play trial.

However, there’s a catch: the trial limits your party to level 10. While that may seem restrictive, especially with high-level beasts and bosses lurking in the trial, the dedicated community has found ways to tackle these challenges and push their limits, even against monsters that can reach level 75 in the full game.

One standout player, known as Alilatias on YouTube, recently showcased their skills by defeating Feral Brachydios, detailing their strategy in the video description.

Essentially, it requires some grinding and strategic planning, with a focus on staggering attacks and a precise rotation. The most impressive part? Alilatias isn’t the only one achieving this feat.

Before Alilatias took down Feral Brachydios, another player, a Reddit user named OfficialC768, shared their own success in a recent post. They outlined their methods—similar to those used by Alilatias—while humorously noting, “I wasn’t even planning on this being the run.” Their post includes proof of their victory, with the massive monster defeated in the background.

Then there’s Redditor Usual-Difficulty1474, who also managed to conquer the fearsome beast, as detailed in their own thread. That makes three players who have accomplished the seemingly impossible in the Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection trial, taking on formidable foes while capped at level 10. Could I pull it off? Probably not—but watching others succeed is always a thrill.
