My Hero Academia Announces Exciting 2026 Special and Global Concert Tour for 10th Anniversary Celebration
My Hero Academia is set to continue its journey with a special episode arriving in 2026, wrapping up the adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s cherished manga. Prepare for an emotional epilogue featuring Deku and the crew, following the conclusion of season 8.
Titled ‘More’, this special episode will delve into the characters’ lives eight years after the intense events of the final season and their graduation from U.A. High School. Adapted from Chapter 431 of the manga, it’s scheduled for release on May 2, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the anime, which first premiered in April 2016. It will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll outside of Asia.
While the last episode of season 8 provided an epilogue, this upcoming special will dive deeper into the futures of Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, and the rest of the gang. It promises to be a heartfelt farewell after eight seasons and 170 episodes over a decade-long adventure.
In celebration of the anniversary, a worldwide concert tour, My Hero Academia in Concert, has also been announced. This tour will feature composer Yuki Hayashi’s music alongside scenes from the anime, kicking off on May 30, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama before heading internationally.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate ten years of ‘My Hero Academia’ with fans around the world,” a spokesperson shared after the announcement at Jump Festa 2026. “This milestone represents not only a decade of unforgettable stories, heroic characters, and epic battles, but also the incredible support and passion of our global audience.”
Even though the main series has concluded, the franchise remains vibrant with the release of the spin-off/prequel My Hero Academia: Vigilantes earlier this year, along with Netflix’s upcoming live-action adaptation, where the manga creator is heavily involved.
