Neagley from Reacher is confirmed for a second season.

The Reacher universe is expanding once more. Just days after confirming a sixth season of Reacher, Amazon MGM Studios has revealed that we’ll be getting more of the first spinoff, Neagley. This isn’t too surprising, considering Neagley has quickly climbed to the top as the No. 1 TV show on Prime Video, just two weeks after its eight-episode crime drama premiered.

Neagley made its debut on Prime Video on September 16 and has been a hit right from the start. This success is likely due to the fact that it provided fans of the Alan Ritchson-led series with fresh content on the same day that Reacher season 4 wrapped up.

According to a news release from Amazon MGM, Neagley attracted 40 million viewers within its first 13 days on the platform, making it the fourth most-watched series debut. This is impressive, especially when compared to Reacher’s viewership; season 4 garnered 66 million viewers globally in its first 28 days. Ritchson’s return as Jack Reacher in a guest role certainly adds to the appeal.

The series stars Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, a private investigator in Chicago and a former military protégé of Jack Reacher from the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. Sten was also featured in the first three seasons of Reacher. In her own show, Neagley is driven by the mysterious death of a friend, leading her down a perilous path in pursuit of justice against a looming threat. While Neagley is based on a character created by Lee Child, the series does not directly adapt the author’s novels.

“Audiences around the world have embraced Frances Neagley as a force all her own,” said the head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios. “Maria Sten delivers a commanding, layered performance that drives every episode, and the creative team has crafted a world that is both thrilling and compelling. We are excited to continue this story and explore what’s next for Neagley.”

While Amazon MGM hasn’t provided a release window for Neagley season 2, fans of Reacher might have to wait until 2028 for it. With season 5 of Reacher expected in 2027, there will be plenty to keep action franchise enthusiasts engaged until season 6 arrives.
