Nest Thermostat Sees Lowest Price of the Year
If you’re on the hunt for an affordable solution to lower your cooling costs, the Nest Thermostat from Google is a great option. Loaded with smart controls and energy-saving features, it’s currently available in white for just $79, marking a $50 discount and its best price of the year.
This smart thermostat is easy to install and allows you to adjust your home’s temperature whether you’re lounging in bed or heading home, all through the Google Home app. You can set schedules and control it via voice commands using Google Assistant, Alexa, or any Matter-compatible voice assistant.
Once installed, the Nest Thermostat can automatically lower the temperature when you’re away, helping to cut down on unnecessary energy consumption. Additionally, Google’s Savings Finder feature offers suggestions for further savings over time. It also keeps an eye on your HVAC system and can notify you if something seems off, making it easier to handle maintenance before minor issues escalate into costly repairs. If you’re eligible, Nest Renew can automatically shift some of your heating and cooling to times when electricity is cleaner or cheaper.
However, keep in mind that this is Google’s entry-level model from 2020, so it lacks some of the premium features found in the latest Nest Learning Thermostat. For instance, it won’t learn your schedule automatically and doesn’t support Nest Temperature Sensors, which allow you to prioritize the temperature in specific rooms. Still, if you’re simply looking for a convenient way to manage your home’s temperature remotely and potentially save on energy bills, the Nest Thermostat remains a solid choice at this price.
