Netflix and Riot Appear to Be Erasing D4vd’s Arcane Track from Online Platforms

David “D4vd” Burke was taken into custody in April as part of the investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a California teenager whose remains were discovered in a Tesla owned by the pop artist last September. Burke’s music has made its way into popular titles like Fortnite, and as the trial approaches in June, companies that have worked with him are assessing how to manage his music in their projects. One notable project is Arcane, the animated series based on League of Legends available on Netflix, which includes D4vd’s track “Remember Me.” It appears that Netflix and Riot Games are considering removing the song from their platforms, along with any ties to the artist.

Today, fans observed that “Remember Me” has been taken off the Arcane soundtrack on Spotify and Apple Music, as well as from Riot’s official YouTube music channel. However, the song can still be found on YouTube through unofficial sources, including a performance by Burke at the 2024 Game Awards, featuring characters from Arcane and League of Legends on stage.

The track appears in the sixth episode of Arcane’s second and final season. While Netflix and Riot have removed the song from certain channels, it is still included in the show for now. Netflix has previously allowed teams behind series like Stranger Things to edit episodes post-release, so it’s possible that Arcane may eventually be updated to exclude Burke’s song. We’ve reached out to Netflix for a statement regarding the situation and will provide updates if we receive a response.
