Netflix Reveals First Glimpse of Duffer Brothers’ Eerie New Series, Just Weeks After Stranger Things Finale

Netflix has revealed a sneak peek at “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen,” the latest project from the creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers.

According to the official description, “Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen” is a chilling horror series set during a wedding, focusing on a bride and groom in the week leading up to their doomed ceremony. The title itself hints at the ominous events to come.

Camila Morrone, known for her role in Daisy Jones and the Six, stars as Rachel, the bride, while Adam DiMarco from The White Lotus plays her fiancé, Nicky. As reported, the couple embarks on a road trip to Nicky’s affluent family’s vacation home just five days before their wedding. Each episode unfolds over a single day leading up to the private ceremony, with Rachel’s growing paranoia and superstitions intensifying as bizarre incidents begin to unfold.

The cast also features Jennifer Jason Leigh as Nicky’s mother and Ted Levine, famous for his role as Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs. More visuals from the show are available below.

Haley Z. Boston serves as the showrunner, with the Duffer Brothers as executive producers. Boston has previously contributed to projects like Hunters and Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, drawing comparisons between her new series and classics like Carrie and Rosemary’s Baby.

The Duffer Brothers recently wrapped up another long-running series on Netflix, with the Stranger Things season 5 finale airing on New Year’s Eve 2025. This final episode sparked controversy among fans, leading to a conspiracy dubbed “Conformity Gate,” suggesting that an additional secret episode might be released as the “true” finale.

“Something Very Bad is Going to Happen” is set to premiere on Netflix on March 26.
