New GTA 6 Leak Sparks Outrage Among Rockstar Fans

After more than a dozen gameplay leaks for Grand Theft Auto 6, the hacking group Cyberleek shows no signs of backing down. For an entire week, they’ve been taunting and mocking the game’s developer, Rockstar Games, and its publisher. Just a day after urging fans to harass the studio in real life, Cyberleek has dropped a new clip that many interpret as a direct jab at the creators of the open-world game.

When the leaks first emerged in August 2026, Cyberleek claimed their decision to release unauthorized gameplay footage stemmed from Rockstar and Take-Two’s choice to sell the game without physical discs. They threatened to keep leaking content unless the publisher reversed this controversial decision. While it’s clear that Cyberleek is looking to profit from these leaks, they continue to push an activist narrative with their 14th gameplay leak.

The latest two-minute clip features co-protagonist Jason entering a physical store named Game Hoard, filled with game boxes and discs. He zooms in on various titles, including nods to popular games like Elden Ring and Returnal. The player pauses to examine a sign promoting game trade-ins, which can only happen with physical copies.

“This is not about discs,” a caption in the footage states. “It is about ownership. Resale rights still matter — even in a digital age.”

Despite Cyberleek’s claims, digital rights advocacy groups have distanced themselves from the group’s agenda.

In addition to the obvious digs at Rockstar, the clip reveals some new gameplay features. Jason can buy phone cases, earbuds, and headphones in the store, adding a layer of customization not seen in GTA 5. This detail has sparked speculation that GTA 6 may allow players to listen to the radio while walking, not just when driving. Fans are also curious if this leak hints at more advanced phone functionality in the upcoming game.

Rockstar has yet to respond to Cyberleek’s provocations, but reports indicate that the developers are feeling frustrated and angry about the situation. Meanwhile, Take-Two is actively working to uncover the identities of those behind the leaks. Cyberleek, however, insists they will continue to release more leaks leading up to Netflix’s extended gameplay reveal on Thursday, Aug. 27. If they stick to their word, fans can expect two more days of leaks.

Many GTA 6 enthusiasts have spent years questioning whether Rockstar can deliver a game that lives up to the trailers.
