New Teaser Unveils Details for Dimension 20’s Upcoming Season
Dimension 20’s Gladlands campaign wrapped up in February, but fans of Dropout can look forward to the next adventure arriving soon. A mysterious teaser released on Wednesday hints at the direction of the upcoming actual play series.
Titled “Welcome to Purpee,” the video features serene stock footage of nature and families enjoying quality time together. If you watch it without sound, everything seems perfectly normal. However, the narration reveals a darker story.
It mentions a forest where “all them kids went missing last spring” and stresses the importance of staying indoors after sundown. The vibe is definitely reminiscent of eerie shows like Twin Peaks and Welcome to Night Vale, contrasting sharply with Gladlands’ focus on kindness and positivity.
Interestingly, the mayor of Purpee is a dog, with a cheeky remark that “most politicians are, too.”
No cast members have been confirmed, and a release date remains under wraps, with the teaser simply stating that it will be available soon on Dropout. However, fans on Reddit have noted that Dropout CEO Sam Reich may have inadvertently revealed the cast during a recent Superfan Q&A, hinting that the next Intrepid Heroes campaign will take place in Purpee.
The Intrepid Heroes consist of the six original members who helped launch the Dimension 20 phenomenon: Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson, with Brennan Lee Mulligan as the GM. Together, they’ve participated in various campaigns and live shows, including Fantasy High, The Unsleeping City, and Cloudward, Ho!
While we await further details, you can catch up on previous seasons of Dimension 20 on Dropout. The streamer’s new 24/7 channel is currently airing Never Stop Blowing Up, perfect for those looking to jump in at random.
