New Update Introduces Player Kicking Feature, But Scouts Can’t Be Reinstated After Being Kicked

Aggro Crab has just rolled out patch 1.53.a, bringing a host of new features and fixes to the game. One of the standout additions is the ability to kick other players from the session. This long-awaited feature allows hosts to remove players experiencing connection issues without needing to restart the entire game.

As noted in the patch details, while players still can’t kick fellow scouts during gameplay (and you should definitely feel bad for even considering it), hosts can now remove problematic players from the game. A small boot icon has been added next to the audio slider in the pause menu, and clicking it will kick the selected player.

Once a player is kicked, they cannot be reinstated in the same session, so if you want to bring them back, you’ll need to head back to the menu and start a new session. There are plenty of legitimate reasons for wanting to kick someone, like connection problems or disruptions affecting the group.

Additionally, there are several quality-of-life improvements, including a revamped reconnecting process. One change allows players to return as scouts instead of ghosts if the party revives others at the current campfire. Another tweak gives you a moment to toss away a scorpion before it can sting you.

The option to add rich text tags to your name has been removed, but on the bright side, you can now roll snowballs to make them larger—a fun new feature for sure.

The final biome is set to arrive this year, along with updates addressing some frequently requested features. The developers also hinted at an exciting new project that they’re keeping under wraps for now.
