This latest glimpse at the PlayStation 5 exclusive showcases Logan facing off against a variety of foes, including the newly introduced Lady Deathstrike, confirming her as one of the more formidable adversaries he will encounter on his journey.

In Marvel’s Wolverine, the iconic hero and his allies are on a mission to rescue fellow mutants from mercenary groups known as the Reavers. Historically linked to Lady Deathstrike in the comics, the trailer suggests she is leading a squad of red ninjas intent on capturing Logan. The trailer, titled “Ain’t No Hero,” delves into Logan’s struggles with his violent past and his quest for redemption.

Lady Deathstrike has a unique backstory; her father was responsible for the adamantium bonding process used on Logan. Although she isn’t a mutant, she is a cyborg, enhanced with adamantium fused to her skeleton and cybernetic implants. Instead of traditional claws, she wields claw-like fingers for combat. Interestingly, she recently made an appearance in the latest episode of the Disney+ series X-Men ’97.

As Insomniac Games puts its own spin on the character, it’s likely that the backstories of all characters, including Lady Deathstrike, have been reimagined for this game. The title is set to launch on September 15, and PS5 players are particularly pleased that it will include a disc version, a departure from some of Sony’s upcoming exclusives.
