Nintendo Direct Scheduled for June 30

Nintendo has announced an exciting new Nintendo Direct showcase set for this week, focusing on the upcoming Splatoon spinoff, Splatoon Raiders. This single-player survival adventure will provide an in-depth look at the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.

The Splatoon Raiders Direct will go live on June 30 at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT, running for about 15 minutes. Fans can look forward to fresh gameplay insights and plenty of clever sea-themed puns.

In addition, Nintendo is gearing up for an extended gameplay reveal through a new Nintendo Treehouse: Live broadcast.

Splatoon Raiders was first revealed last June, shortly after the launch of the Switch 2. This sequel to Splatoon 3 invites players to embark on treasure hunts across the Spirhalite Islands while battling Salmonids, the fierce sea creatures familiar to fans of Splatoon 2 and 3’s Salmon Run modes. Players will step into the shoes of a mechanic working for the Deep Cut trio—Frye, Shiver, and Big Man—crafting inventive gadgets and paint-launching devices.

The game is set to launch on July 23, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. On the same day, Nintendo will also release new amiibo figures featuring Splatoon Raiders versions of Frye, Shiver, and Big Man, who were previously released as amiibo for Splatoon 3 in 2023. Additionally, new Joy-Con 2 controllers will be available in a blue and light yellow color scheme.

Splatoon Raiders will be priced at $49.99 for the digital version and $59.99 for the physical edition, as part of Nintendo’s updated pricing strategy. Each amiibo will retail for $24.99.
