Nintendo is set to host a new Direct presentation this week.
A new Nintendo Direct is set for Thursday, February 5, as confirmed by Nintendo. This upcoming showcase will highlight games from third-party developers for the Switch and Switch 2, rather than focusing on titles created by Nintendo itself.
The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase will be streamed on Nintendo’s YouTube channel at 6 a.m. PST/9 a.m. EST, lasting around 30 minutes.
While Nintendo hasn’t disclosed which third-party developers or specific games will be featured, there are plenty of exciting possibilities. Capcom is gearing up to release Resident Evil Requiem for Switch 2 later this month, along with ports of Resident Evil 7 biohazard and Resident Evil Village. They might also showcase the intriguing Pragmata or Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. FromSoftware has a couple of titles in development for Switch 2, including the highly anticipated Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and The Duskbloods. Additionally, Square Enix has The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales scheduled for 2026, and Level 5 is working on Professor Layton and the New World of Steam.
There are also whispers of more ports coming to Switch 2, with RPGs like Final Fantasy 16 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 rumored to be in the pipeline. However, the announced but indefinitely delayed port of Borderlands 4 and the port of Baldur’s Gate 3, which Larian Studio has indicated is on hold due to its relationship with Hasbro, are less likely to make an appearance.
This Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase follows two recent livestreams focused on The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.
