Notorious Game Repacker Shifts Gears to Pursue Law Degree

Dodi Repacks, the second most recognized name in the world of game repacking, just delivered some surprising news that has left many piracy enthusiasts feeling a bit heartbroken. In a recent “Roadmap” update on his site, Dodi announced he’s stepping back from his piracy activities to focus on getting married and pursuing a career in law. Is that you, Saul Goodman?

Dodi is an intriguing character in the online piracy community. While we don’t know his real name, he’s more open about his life compared to others in the scene, often using his website as a personal blog.

While I can’t link to it, a visit to Dodi’s website, active since 2018, along with his Discord community, reveals some surprisingly personal and heartfelt insights about him. For example, he resides in Egypt, got into repacking because he found compression fascinating as a kid, and has battled a rare blood disease that nearly took his life in May 2023.

So, why would someone like Dodi, who might prefer to stay under the radar, share so much about himself? From his blog posts, it seems he genuinely cares for his followers, whom he affectionately calls his “family.” The comments from his community show that the feeling is mutual. However, there’s one thing Dodi clearly prioritizes even more: the justice system—and his future wife.

“2026 is the most important year in my life,” Dodi shared in a blog post on May 16. “My final exams start May 18 and end June 11. I already have a good work offer in France, which will mostly begin after my law exam in September. The wedding is set for November 24. Don’t worry, I won’t leave you, but things won’t be the same as before.”

The community over on r/PiratedGames isn’t taking this news lightly, but they’re rallying behind their favorite repacker’s new chapter in life. The irony isn’t lost on them, though; there’s a chance Dodi might end up representing some of them in court down the line.
