Nvidia to Launch DLSS 4.5 Featuring 6x Frame Generation by Late March

Nvidia has revealed that DLSS 4.5, featuring 6x Multi Frame Generation, will launch on March 31st for RTX 50-series GPU users. This new technology allows DLSS 4.5 to produce “five additional frames for every single natively rendered one, achieving a maximum 6X multiplier,” a significant upgrade from the previous maximum of three extra frames with DLSS 4.

On the same day, Nvidia will introduce Dynamic Frame Generation for 50-series GPUs, which intelligently adjusts Multi Frame Generation multipliers to help maintain your desired frame rate or match your display’s refresh rate.

While both Dynamic Frame Generation and 6x Multi Frame Generation were announced alongside DLSS 4.5, Nvidia initially only specified a spring launch for these features.

Additionally, Nvidia is rolling out some enhancements for GeForce Now. Users will soon be able to link their GeForce Now accounts with GOG accounts. For those using GeForce Now with a VR headset, the service will support frame rates up to 90fps starting March 19th, an upgrade from the previous cap of 60fps (available with an Ultimate subscription). Plus, select Xbox titles, including Brutal Legend and Contrast, will be added to GeForce Now’s Install-to-Play library.
