Virtuos has recently gained recognition among gamers for its stunning visual enhancements in projects like Oblivion Remastered and Metal Gear Solid Delta. However, the studio has a long history of contributing to major franchises across film and television, and its involvement in Fallout season 2 has sparked speculation about potential remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
As the Fallout season 2 finale premieres tonight, Virtuos announced on Twitter that “our team worked on environment art, creating photorealistic landscapes that viewers will encounter throughout the season.” Given their experience with Oblivion Remastered, the excitement in the replies is palpable.
Welcome back to the Wasteland, vault dwellers! The finale of Fallout season 2 is now available on Prime Video – tune in today, February 3, 2026, at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET. Our team worked on environment art, creating photorealistic landscapes that viewers will encounter throughout…
Rumors surrounding a Fallout 3 remaster have intensified over the past year, but concrete details about its development remain elusive. With Virtuos’s background in Oblivion Remastered, they seem like a strong candidate for the project, especially with the trend of surprise releases. However, hopeful Fallout fans have faced disappointment before.
It’s important to note that Virtuos’s work on the Fallout series doesn’t necessarily indicate they are developing a game in the franchise. Their contributions to film and TV are not extensively documented, but they occasionally share press releases highlighting their work on major films like Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Jurassic World.
The new Avengers are here, known as the Thunderbolts. These antiheroes have one last chance at redemption. ⚡ Our team at Sparx Virtuos had a fantastic time working on this incredible movie! Special thanks to our long-time partners for collaborating with us on this Marvel project.
By the time Virtuos celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024, it had expanded to 23 studios and offices worldwide, employing over 3,800 people. This means they are more than just a remaster studio. While it’s possible that Virtuos is secretly working on upgraded versions of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, their involvement in the Fallout show doesn’t provide any definitive clues either way.
