Obsession may be getting a sequel, and its standout star is fully on board.

Inde Navarrette is gearing up for some exciting roles after her standout performance in *Obsession*, including portraying Rogue in the upcoming *X-Men* reboot and leading in Apple’s sci-fi thriller *The Waffle House Index*. However, she’s not quite ready to move on from her horror hit just yet.

In a recent interview, Navarrette expressed her enthusiasm for a potential sequel to *Obsession*. She shared her thoughts on her rapid rise to fame, her future projects, and her theories about what might happen to her character, Nikki, after the film ends.

“I would totally be open to doing a sequel. Are you kidding me? Who am I to say no?” Navarrette remarked.

Instead of diving straight into another terrifying scenario, Navarrette believes Nikki would need to process the traumatic events she endured in director Curry Barker’s horror film. “I think the non-pretty answer, which I think is more important to give sometimes than kind of just giggling through answers, is she’s starting a grief process,” she explained.

Nikki’s journey involves losing her autonomy when her friend Bear (Michael Johnston) uses a mysterious novelty item called the One Wish Willow to make her love him above all else. The wish leads to increasingly horrific outcomes, leaving Nikki to confront an experience that was never her choice.

Navarrette’s insights come as Barker has also shown interest in exploring the film’s unique mythology further. In May, the writer-director mentioned he was considering either *Obsession 2* or an anthology series that would delve into various wishes gone awry, potentially featuring different filmmakers’ interpretations of the concept.

An anthology could broaden the scope of the One Wish Willow’s narrative without necessitating a direct continuation of Nikki’s story. However, with both Barker and Navarrette open to the idea of returning, a true sequel remains a distinct possibility.
