Order of the Sinking Star Features More Than 1,000 Unique Puzzles from The Witness Creator

At The Game Awards today, Jonathan Blow and his team at Thekla, Inc. unveiled their upcoming title, Order of the Sinking Star, following a teaser earlier this week. Set to launch in 2026, this game invites players to delve into four unique worlds, featuring a staggering 1,000 puzzles to tackle, as showcased in the announcement trailer. Throughout the adventure, players will meet a variety of characters, including a queen, a knight, a wizard, and even a talking boat. The trailer gives a glimpse of the diverse puzzles players will encounter, utilizing environmental tools like large rolling spheres, beams of light, and mirrors to solve challenges. This marks Blow’s first new project in over ten years, with his last release being The Witness in 2014. His debut title, Braid, catapulted him to indie-developer stardom back in 2008. Order of the Sinking Star is slated for release on PC and consoles in 2026, with further details on timing and platforms to be revealed later.
