Overwatch’s Beloved Collaboration Returns, Shining a Spotlight on Underrated Heroes
Blizzard is clearly raking in the dough with its ongoing partnership with K-pop sensation Le Sserafim, as Overwatch gears up for its third collaboration featuring the “Perfect Night” performers. This time, the spotlight is on several of the new heroes introduced this year, and for the first time, a male character will join the festivities, breaking the trend of previous events that focused solely on female heroes.
The celebration kicks off on September 12, coinciding with this year’s BlizzCon where Le Sserafim will take the stage. The new skins will include Mizuki, Freja, D.Mon, Anran, Sierra, and surprisingly, Moira—proving that even a diabolical scientist can be a fan of K-pop. Each hero will also receive new emotes, likely featuring a dance to accompany Le Sserafim’s latest single, “Made My Night,” which will be available on six different CDs, each showcasing a different hero. A new music video is set to premiere on September 10, and if past collaborations are any indication, it will feature all six heroes.
I have to give a special shoutout to the Mizuki skin, not just because he’s my favorite new hero from this year’s lineup, but also because the previous Le Sserafim collaborations only showcased female characters. It’s about time the boys got their moment in the spotlight! Here’s hoping we see more male heroes dressed for the occasion in future collaborations. Moira’s inclusion shows that even those who don’t fit the typical mold can join in. I’d love to see Soldier: 76 rocking an “I’m Fearless” crop top and sunglasses.
This marks the second music collaboration for Overwatch in 2026, following an earlier partnership with J-pop duo YOASOBI, which brought new skins and the song “Orion,” inspired by support hero Kiriko.
