In a bizarre twist nearly three years ago, Blizzard gave away a Diablo 4 gaming PC “infused with real human blood” as part of a community blood drive. However, the winner, a streamer known as Storms888, views it as anything but a gimmick—he considers it a miracle.
In a recent interview, Storms888 shared that “the PC is virtually perfect.” It hasn’t even left a mark on his carpet. This gaming rig, equipped with an Nvidia 4090 graphics card and an Intel 14900k processor, is just like any other, except Blizzard “added red blood cells inside of it.”
He’s unsure about the origin of those cells, as the donor slip only confirmed it was a legitimate donation. Blizzard also provided Storms888 with an extra vial of blood in case he needed to replenish it, although he noted that the bottle “did leak a ton.”
“I had to put the bottle in a separate bag,” Storms888 lamented. Still, he believes that a few drops of blood are a small price to pay for a computer that has been “genuinely life-changing” and has opened many doors for him in his streaming career.
“I wouldn’t change a thing about it for the novelty factor—I’d love to pass this down to my future kids someday,” Storms888 expressed. Let’s hope they aren’t universal donors!
In the lead-up to season 12, Diablo 4 is reintroducing killstreaks with special bloodied items to help you unleash chaos, and nostalgic fans are thrilled: “Seriously missed these from Diablo 3.”
