Palworld Update: Summoning Altars No Longer Self-Destruct After Raids, Plus Sword Buffs and Bug Fixes

There’s a fresh update for Palworld as we gear up for the 1.0 launch. This patch breathes new life into Summoning Altars and enhances the efficiency of short-range weapons, two features that players have been eagerly anticipating.

First up, the Summoning Altars, which are essential for bringing in raid bosses, have received a significant change. They are no longer strictly single-use. According to the patch notes, “The Summoning Altar at your base will no longer be destroyed at the end of the raids inside the raid area.”

Previously, using an altar would result in it shattering once the corresponding monster appeared. Now, if you summon a boss in a designated arena within your base, the altar will remain intact. However, if you summon it elsewhere, the altar will still be destroyed.

In other words, as one Reddit user put it, “I guess that’s the price if you wanna build a raid base where the base design helps with the fight.”

On the melee front, weapons have seen improvements in recovery time and range. The recovery time is now shorter, and the range has been extended, making swords (both standard and beam) and the katana much more effective in combat.

The update also includes a variety of bug fixes, addressing specific issues. Notably, an achievement on Steam (Alpha Pal Slayer) has been adjusted to ensure it triggers correctly for all eligible players. One Reddit user mentioned they just unlocked it, marking the last achievement they needed. If you’re in the same boat, now’s the time to jump back into the game and complete your list.

This update is live now, and while there’s no set release date for Palworld 1.0 yet, it promises to be an exciting experience.
