Spider-Man and Venom are set to collide in Marvel’s Death Spiral event, but the real game-changer may come in May’s Venom #258, crafted by writer Al Ewing and artist Carlos Gómez.

As fans may know, Mary Jane has become the new host of the Venom symbiote after a life-threatening situation. She’s been embracing her role as Venom for a while, and despite her close bond with Peter Parker, it seems the symbiote still has unresolved issues with Spider-Man.

The newly unveiled cover of Venom #258 by artist Carlos Gómez shows Peter and MJ strolling across a bridge, with a vision of their superhero personas battling it out in the sky above.

Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson have struggled to maintain their relationship for years, with every attempt at reconciliation thwarted by external factors, often tied to Peter’s secret life as Spider-Man. Now, with MJ’s own secret identity as Venom complicating things further, it may take a miracle to reunite them.
