PlayStation Plus August 2026 Features New Quirky Title from Untitled Goose Game Creators
PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to a fresh lineup of “free” games in August, and one title has already been confirmed: the latest creation from the team behind Untitled Goose Game and Push Me Pull You. While the complete list of PlayStation Plus Essential games is set to be revealed on Wednesday, we know that House House’s Big Walk will be available as a day-one release.
The new offerings for PlayStation Plus will launch on Tuesday, August 4, according to the usual schedule.
So far, here’s what PlayStation enthusiasts can anticipate for PS Plus in August 2026:
Big Walk is the upcoming game from the developers known for their quirky and vibrant titles, Untitled Goose Game and Push Me Pull You. They describe Big Walk as a game centered around “talking to your friends.”
“It’s both a grand adventure and a cozy space to hang out,” the official website states, emphasizing the game’s focus on teamwork and communication. “Every aspect of the game is crafted for cooperative multiplayer.”
“Big Walk is designed as a long-form cooperative experience,” House House and their partner note. “It’s intended to be played with the same group over multiple sessions, so randomly pairing strangers doesn’t fit the experience. We believe it’s far more enjoyable to organize and play Big Walk with friends or those you wish to connect with.”
Big Walk will feature cross-play capabilities and will also be available on Mac, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC.
Don’t forget, you can still claim July’s free PlayStation Plus Essential games—Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and CrossCode—until August 3.
PlayStation Plus Essential is the most basic tier of Sony’s subscription service, providing online multiplayer access, a monthly selection of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on purchases from the PlayStation Store. The subscription costs $79.99 per year, $27.99 for three months, or $10.99 monthly, following a price increase across all PS Plus tiers in May.
The studio behind Untitled Goose Game is set to release a game that feels both perfectly timed and oddly out of sync.
