Pluribus Cast Embraces Season 2 Secrecy: “Vince Gilligan Keeps Us in the Dark”
Like many fans, you might be eagerly awaiting updates on Pluribus season 2. Interestingly, even the main cast members of Apple TV’s sci-fi hit are in the dark about what’s next for the series.
Karolina Wydra, who plays Zosia, shared her thoughts on this secrecy, saying, “I think that’s [creator] Vince [Gilligan]. I love that about Vince because he keeps everything to himself and then it gets revealed little bit by little bit.”
Rather than feeling frustrated, Wydra appreciates this approach, as it allows her to stay focused on her character without getting ahead of the story. “It doesn’t color whatever comes in the future; you’re just playing what’s in the moment,” she explains. “I personally love that.”
She highlights the shocking betrayal in the season one finale as a prime example. In that episode, Zosia and The Others reveal to Carol (Rhea Seehorn) their plan to use her frozen eggs to integrate her into the hivemind.
“If I knew that I was going to take the eggs, [it] can start to play a little bit in your mind subconsciously – maybe [play it] menacing or maybe there’s a secret. So, not having that information, you get to really play what is asked of you. We don’t know what the future is. I think Vince is still writing and discovering it.”
Gilligan has previously mentioned that the writers’ room for Pluribus season 2 began its work in November, so it may be a while before we see Carol, Zosia, and Manousos back on our screens.
