Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Upcoming Update Introduces Top Creatures from Scarlet and Violet

The next booster pack for Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled Paradox Drive, is set to launch on May 27. This update is a big deal for fans of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as it introduces Ancient and Future Pokémon into the mobile card game.

As part of its regular schedule, Pokémon TCG Pocket releases a new booster pack at the end of each month. Paradox Drive follows the Lucario-themed Pulsing Aura pack from April, which also included significant quality of life improvements. While this new pack may not bring major changes to the game, it has the potential to significantly impact the competitive landscape.

Paradox Drive will feature Ancient and Future Pokémon as collectible cards. These unique creatures played a crucial role in the endings of Scarlet and Violet, showcasing a mix of oddly named prehistoric beings and futuristic robots. Cards like Scream Tail, Iron Bundle, and Raging Bolt will be part of this exciting update.

Players can enhance these cards with new Energy Capsule Trainer cards. The Ancient Booster provides an additional 40 HP to Ancient Pokémon, while the Future Booster grants a 20 attack power boost to active Future Pokémon. This opens up opportunities for diverse deck strategies that go beyond focusing on a single type.

The set will also include some classic Pokémon. Both Koraidon and Miraidon are receiving their own ex cards, and a trailer for the pack teases appearances from Kingambit and Garganacl. Additionally, professors Sada and Turo from Scarlet and Violet will have their own Trainer cards.

As for upcoming events with this update, don’t expect anything groundbreaking in June. An Emblem Event, Community Week, and Wonder Pick Event are on the horizon, along with a Ceruledge ex Drop Event.
