Feeling stuck in your Animal Crossing routine? If you’re tired of waiting for the next day to roll around, consider taking a break and exploring Pokémon’s new life sim, Pokopia, where the action never stops.
In a recent interview, director Takuto Edagawa shared that, unlike the slower-paced Animal Crossing, Pokopia is designed for players who want to dive right in without the wait.
“I’ve been collaborating with Mr. Ohmori to ensure fans can enjoy the game in their own style,” Edagawa explained. “Casual players can take their time, but those eager for a deeper experience can play as much as they want. There’s no waiting around; you won’t have to pause for a whole day to continue.”
Our preview of Pokopia captured this sense of constant engagement, with GamesRadar+ deputy news editor Catherine Lewis noting, “I’ve never experienced an early preview fly by so quickly; I could have easily spent the entire day exploring the life sim and uncovering its intricate systems.”
While Pokopia may have some slower elements like building projects, its world feels more dynamic compared to Animal Crossing’s laid-back vibe. Catherine remarked, “Anyone who has poured hundreds of hours into Animal Crossing might find themselves just as absorbed in this new adventure, if not more.” Why wait for that thrill?
