Popular Anime RPG Surpasses 50 Million Downloads and Prepares for a Steamy Star Wars Twist: “I’m Ready!”
In a galaxy far, far away, five chiseled heroes are inviting you to embark on an adventure to Jupiter in the upcoming 2nd Anniversary Celebration update for the otome ARPG, Love and Deepspace.
This wildly popular gacha game, boasting 50 million downloads, is set to launch Version 5.0 on December 31. Get ready to kick off 2026 with your charming captor calling you “kitten” more than a few times. This time around, your alluring kidnapper Sylus, stepbrother Caleb, the morally ambiguous Dr. Zayne, merman Rafayel, and fallen star Xavier will be whispering sweet nothings into your iPhone, all while reenacting their own steamy take on Star Wars.
“In Cosmic Year 1,” the starry teaser trailer for Version 5.0 begins, “humanity, amid the boundless cosmos, established a home in the Alore Galaxy. Thus, the Cosmic Empire was born.”
Version 5.0 [2nd Anniversary Celebration] is set to drop on December 31. Stay tuned for the Special Program coming soon!✨ Follow @Love_Deepspace and share with the hashtag #LADS2ndAnniversary for a chance to win $50 (5 winners). In Cosmic Year 1, humanity established the Cosmic Empire…
We’re keeping things PG until the December 26 livestream on the Love and Deepspace YouTube channel reveals more details. Just remember, “In Cosmic Year 128, power was divided, and factions stirred. The Empire’s rebels migrated to the Neezir Galaxy and founded the Glory Federation. For hundreds of years, the Empire and the Federation stood in opposition.”
But before you start reminiscing about the Galactic Civil War, developer Infold assures us that you’ll soon be crowned Empress of the Cosmic Empire amidst spaceship battles in the blueberry galaxy. And as the 2nd Anniversary tagline boldly states, “Before a Dominant Will, Even the Cosmos Bows.” Based on an ongoing event where Caleb lets you get a little too close while cooking bacon, I can only assume “Cosmos” is a metaphor here.
“I’m ready,” says a fan reaction on Twitter, racking up over 1,000 likes.
This intriguing otome game, which even tracks your period, is adding a rail shooter where you battle Pokémon-style creatures for love, and surprisingly, everyone is a lot more shirtless than you’d expect.
