The Oura Ring 5, priced from $399, is 40% smaller than its predecessor, featuring a design that is both sleeker and lighter. Oura claims enhanced accuracy and battery life, allowing for up to nine days of use on a single charge.

Alongside the hardware upgrades, Oura is introducing several new software features. One notable addition is a Locate tool within the app to help you find a misplaced ring or charging case. For fitness enthusiasts, there’s a live activity mode for real-time workout and heart rate tracking, plus compatibility with third-party heart rate monitors and new GLP-1 tracking tools. Oura has also unveiled Health Radar, a system that monitors nighttime breathing and blood pressure for potential health concerns, and has teamed up with Counsel Health to integrate AI-assisted medical guidance into the app.

Each model comes with a size-specific charger and a USB-C cable, and, as with previous versions, is eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement in the US.

In terms of sizing, the Oura Ring 5 is available in sizes 6 through 13, accompanied by a free sizing kit, which is particularly useful since the new design alters the sizing compared to earlier models. The ring remains compatible with both iPhones and Android devices, but you’ll need an Oura membership ($5.99 per month or $69.99 annually) to unlock all health insights and features.

Additionally, Oura is launching the Oura Ring 5 Charging Case, which supports wireless charging and can extend battery life for up to a month. It features an action button for quick pairing and checking the charging status.
