James Gunn has once again opted for a Krypto-themed Puppy Bowl teaser instead of the Super Bowl. This time, the super-powered pup takes center stage in a new Supergirl trailer.

While the trailer doesn’t showcase much new footage compared to the first teaser, we do get a glimpse of Kara (Milly Alcock) meeting baby Krypto during a Krypton ceremony. Their connection is strong, as is the bond between Kara and Ruthye (Eve Ridley), as they set out on a quest for vengeance.

If you’re eager to see more of Krypto (and who isn’t?), the DC Studios co-CEO also revealed a new poster for the upcoming release, featuring Superman’s furry companion with an oversized collar. Adorable.

Best boy alert! Keep an eye on #PuppyBowl to see which player wins the Krypto Superhero Play inspired by this super pup! #Supergirl hits theaters on June 26.

Based on Tom King’s acclaimed Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic series, Supergirl follows Kara as she ventures into space in pursuit of a ruthless killer. In a twist on the source material, Jason Momoa’s Lobo will make an appearance in the DCU film.

Momoa is confident in his role, stating, “My first scene in [Supergirl] is like, ‘I’m born to do this.’ There are many great actors, but once I hit that press tour, [you’ll see] ‘My first shot was this. Could you do this?'”

Supergirl soars into theaters on June 26, 2026, as part of DCU Chapter One.
