Red Dead Redemption 2 Players Discover Odd Spider Web Mystery Seven Years Post-Release
2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is an expansive game filled with secrets and enigmas. Remarkably, nearly a decade after its release, players have uncovered a fresh mystery involving enigmatic spider webs, feathers, and… guitars?
As detailed by a dedicated YouTuber, in late December, players stumbled upon a peculiar spider glyph on a telegraph pole. Above this pole, a spider web appears only during the in-game hours of 3 am to 4 am. Players can shoot off some feathers found on the web.
The intrigue deepened when players took the glyph and mapped it onto RDR2’s world, leading them to discover additional hidden spider webs on other telegraph poles. Central to this mystery is a large spider web concealed within a tree, which seems to convey a message directing players to a utility pole that hides another clue. This clue appears to connect to more poles associated with acoustic guitars located at a military fort.
For years, players have meticulously explored RDR2 and its myriad secrets. Yet, despite the exhaustive efforts of mystery hunters, it seems there’s still at least one unsolved enigma lurking in Rockstar’s vast open-world Western, remaining hidden for nearly a decade. Could this be linked to a lesser-known mystery in Grand Theft Auto V involving spider webs?
Currently, those investigating this puzzle are focused on Fort Wallace, where two guitars are believed to be integral to the next phase of the mystery, though no one has cracked it yet. There are various theories, some quite outlandish and hard to believe. However, given that players have uncovered a seven-year-old secret in RDR2 involving elusive spider webs and glyphs hidden behind breakable wood on random telegraph poles, I’m open to any theory at this point. The reality is certainly strange. If you’re eager to help unravel this new mystery before GTA 6 drops later this year, make your way to Fort Wallace and see what you can discover.
