ReFantazio’s Demo for Switch 2 Now Live

The anticipation for Metaphor: ReFantazio on the Nintendo Switch 2 just got a bit more manageable. A demo for Atlus’ upcoming fantasy RPG has started appearing on select regional eShops, giving players a chance to jump in early. The full game is scheduled to launch on Switch 2 on November 12, just over two years after its debut on other major platforms.

As noted by some sources, the Prologue Demo has been available for download since October 12. Currently, it can be found on the Japanese and Australian eShops, with other regions expected to gain access soon. Once it’s available in your area, you’ll see the “Download Demo” option right below the pre-order button on the game’s store page.

The Prologue Demo is also accessible on additional platforms, allowing players to experience the opening segment of the RPG, with save data transferable to the full game. The demo wraps up once players hit a specific story milestone or after three in-game days, whichever comes first. This gives you a solid few hours to explore and determine if the game is worth your investment.

While the wait for Metaphor: ReFantazio on Switch 2 has been lengthy, it seems future Atlus releases may not follow the same trend. Next year looks promising for Switch 2 owners, as Atlus plans to launch Persona 4 Revival on the console on May 20. Although this is still three months later than its release on other platforms, it’s a far cry from a two-year delay.

Looking ahead, Atlus has confirmed that Persona 6 will also be coming to Switch 2, with Sega announcing a physical release for this version. While we don’t have a specific release date yet, more details are expected to emerge after Persona 4 Revival hits the shelves.
