Rhea Seehorn assures fans that Vince Gilligan is committed to delivering a thoughtful season 2 of Pluribus without unnecessary delays, stating, “We’ll return as quickly as possible.”

Filming for Pluribus Season 2 is set to kick off soon, as confirmed by Rhea Seehorn. The actress, who recently snagged a Golden Globe for her role as Carol Sturka in the first season of the Apple TV Plus series, shared that creator Vince Gilligan and the writing team are already back at work. They’re eager to minimize the wait for fans.

“I know he wants us to go as soon as possible. He’s not trying to drag this out. He just wants to ensure the show is crafted with the utmost care for the fans and the story,” she stated after her Golden Globe win.

However, since filming hasn’t started yet, it seems unlikely that new episodes will arrive until next year. Gilligan mentioned that writing for the new season only began in November, and he cautioned fans that “it’s going to be a while between seasons,” explaining that this is just how things go.

Pluribus, which recently became the most-watched show on Apple TV Plus, follows a romance author who is one of the few individuals unaffected by a virus called ‘the Joining,’ which has turned the rest of the population into a compliant hive mind known as ‘the Others.’

The first season wrapped up just a few weeks ago, leaving viewers with numerous unanswered questions and plenty of twists to explore in the upcoming season.

In an exclusive chat, Seehorn admitted she’s still trying to decipher the finale’s implications. “I’ve come to terms with that. Even if Vince says we don’t know where we’re headed, I usually try to make a decision about what I think Carol’s plan is,” she explained.

“Maybe that makes me a terrible actor,” she added. “But I genuinely believe Carol is uncertain. It’s not out of laziness; it’s because one of her flaws—sometimes a strength—is her impulsiveness. She acts before she thinks. She knows she needs to do something significant, but I’m not sure what that will be.”

Pluribus is currently streaming on Apple TV.
