A recent report has surfaced detailing some exciting unannounced titles in development for Xbox, including a remake of Fallout: New Vegas, a new StarCraft shooter, and a fresh Warcraft game, among others. According to sources, a remake of the classic 2010 RPG from Obsidian is underway, alongside the previously speculated remake of Fallout 3. This might not be the end of Bethesda’s projects, as there are indications that id Software could be developing a third installment in the Wolfenstein series to align with the upcoming Wolfenstein TV series on Prime Video. Bethesda’s Todd Howard has hinted at significant Fallout announcements on the horizon, noting that Fallout is currently the franchise receiving the most attention from the studio.
The report also suggests that a new mobile Warcraft game is in the early stages of development. Furthermore, a new third-person shooter set in the StarCraft universe is expected to be unveiled at BlizzCon this September. With 2026 marking Blizzard’s 35th anniversary, the company’s president has stated that it will be their “biggest year yet.” This year also celebrates Bethesda’s 40th anniversary. An Xbox Developer Direct is scheduled for this month, although the report did not provide specific details on what might be showcased. It was mentioned that one of Microsoft’s more adventurous teams could be ready to reveal something they’ve been working on.
Additionally, the report indicates that Ninja Theory, known for the Hellblade series, is developing a game that will feature more combat and interactivity than its predecessors. There are also claims that Call of Duty will make its way to the Switch 2 this year, though it’s unclear which title will be involved. While the report lacks in-depth specifics on these upcoming projects, stay tuned for updates. Microsoft has been contacted for further comments.
