Ryan Gosling Cast as Ghost Rider, Alongside New Black Panther and Other Exciting Marvel Updates

While not as explosive as in previous years, Marvel still had some exciting announcements at Comic-Con. The standout reveal was undoubtedly that Ryan Gosling will be joining the MCU as Ghost Rider, with a standalone film directed by Shawn Levy (known for Deadpool and Wolverine) set to release in 2028.

Ryan Coogler also took the stage to confirm that Black Panther III is scheduled for December 15, 2028. He introduced David Jonsson, who will portray T’Challa’s son and take on the mantle of the new Black Panther in the series.

Marvel also unveiled a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, hinting at another cast addition. Ryan Reynolds made a surprise appearance as Deadpool, asking directors Joe and Anthony Russo if there was a spot for him in the film. They mentioned that the movie was nearly complete but might be able to accommodate him. Additionally, it was confirmed that Hayley Atwell will reprise her role as Peggy Carter.
