Samsung Launches 27-Inch QD-OLED Gaming Monitor for $299.99
The prices for QD-OLED gaming monitors are dropping, even as many other PC components continue to rise. If you’re working with a budget of $300, Samsung’s 27-inch 1440p model is available for that exact price, thanks to a recent $50 discount. While finding a solid QD-OLED monitor under $500 is fairly straightforward, scoring one under $300 is quite rare. The G50SF originally launched at $499.99 but has fluctuated between $350 and $450 over the past six months.
Despite being more affordable than Alienware’s impressive $350 AW2726DM and some other options, the Samsung G50SF doesn’t skimp on features. It boasts a sleek design, variable refresh rate support, and a rapid 0.03-millisecond response time typical of these panels. It includes a DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, and a headphone jack, while many competitors only offer two HDMI ports. Unless you’re specifically looking for a monitor with a refresh rate of 240Hz or higher, the G50SF’s maximum of 180Hz via DisplayPort or 144Hz via HDMI should suffice.

* If you weren’t aware, the Insignia brand has introduced its own Bluetooth trackers similar to AirTags, and they’re surprisingly budget-friendly. A four-pack of these Apple Find My-compatible trackers is available for $19.99, which is a $10 discount. This is a great option if you need affordable trackers with lanyard hooks for your luggage. The tracker features a replaceable coin battery and a 65-decibel alarm to help locate lost items nearby. Insignia claims a Bluetooth range of up to 164 feet outdoors (or 65 feet indoors), and connecting them with Find My allows for tracking from greater distances.
* There’s a summer sale on physical PlayStation 5 games, featuring some recent and popular titles like Saros ($49.99, $20 off), Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ($29.99, $40 off), and Death Stranding 2: On The Beach ($39.88, $30 off), along with several other great games. This sale is available at various retailers, and these discounts are among the best we’ve seen for physical titles, with digital versions on the PlayStation Store matching these prices.
* For those who spend long hours at a computer, wrist discomfort from mouse use can be a common issue. A vertical mouse might be a good solution, and you can grab one of the top wireless models, Logitech’s MX Vertical, for $46.80 at Woot using the code LOGITECH22 at checkout (typically priced at $77 elsewhere). This mouse charges via USB-C and can last for months on a single charge, according to a colleague who swears by it. It connects to devices using its included 2.4GHz receiver or Bluetooth.
