Samsung’s inaugural smart glasses have been revealed.
Leaked images suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Glasses bear a striking resemblance to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. Set to be unveiled at Google I/O next month, these glasses, codenamed “Jinju,” are expected to retail between $379 and $499, aligning with the display-free Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2. They will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 processor, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 camera, a 155mAh battery, and bone conduction speakers, though they won’t include a built-in display.
Samsung is reportedly reserving a micro-LED display for a more advanced model, codenamed “Haean,” which is slated for a 2027 release. This premium version is anticipated to cost between $600 and $900, competing directly with the latest Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.
If the glasses don’t debut at Google I/O in May, they may be revealed at one of Samsung’s Unpacked events later in the year. The company has previously announced a collaboration with Google for a pair of glasses set for 2025 and launched its first Android XR device last year: the Galaxy XR headset. Earlier this year, Samsung also indicated plans for a smart glasses release in 2026, but details about their design and features have remained scarce. This initiative is part of several partnerships Google has established for Android XR, which includes collaborations with brands like Warby Parker, Gentle Monster, and Gucci.
