Sharp-eyed fans have uncovered the music featured in the GTA 6 trailer.
Less than 30 minutes after the gameplay trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 dropped, a group of enthusiastic music fans quickly identified all the tracks featured. Rockstar integrated these songs throughout the trailer, like when Jason rides an elevator while listening to Phil Collins, or during an extended segment with Lucia where “Devil Woman” plays.
However, in some of the trailer’s more intense moments, it was tough to pinpoint who was singing amidst the chaos of gunfire and action. A culture site known for covering streetwear was among the first to compile a list of all 14 songs featured in the trailer on social media.
The selection of tracks is diverse, showcasing a mix that doesn’t lean towards any particular genre or era. This approach aligns with Rockstar’s tradition in previous GTA titles, where a variety of radio stations catered to different musical tastes. Including this in the game’s marketing strategy suggests a deliberate effort to appeal to a broad audience.
Rockstar is already making strides to personalize the GTA 6 experience. Players can choose whether Lucia and Jason become romantically involved or remain friends, enjoy greater control over their activities, and explore an expanded range of fashion options that include various styles from streetwear to more. Additionally, players can customize Lucia’s and Jason’s appearances. By filling the radio stations with a mix of both niche and mainstream music, Rockstar aims to ensure that a wide array of players can find something relatable in GTA 6.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
