Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Now Available at Their Lowest Price in Months
As the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time to take your workouts outdoors. Bone conduction headphones are a great choice for staying aware of your surroundings while enjoying your favorite tunes during runs, walks, and more. Until April 7th, there’s a spring sale on various models, including the Shokz OpenFit Air Earbuds and the OpenDots One clip. The standout deal is on the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, now priced at $139.99, which is a $40 discount. This is their lowest price since December and just $15 above the all-time low.
The OpenRun Pro 2 are Shokz’s top bone conduction headphones, effectively addressing a common issue in this category: bass response. The open-ear design, while great for safety, often sacrifices sound clarity. However, the OpenRun Pro 2 features dedicated 18mm by 11mm air conduction drivers, providing significantly richer bass and clearer audio compared to previous models.
The fit has also been improved. The new design incorporates thinner, more flexible ear hooks attached to a lightweight neckband, offering a more secure and comfortable experience than older models like the AfterShokz. Those earlier versions could feel overly tight around the temples and uncomfortable for glasses wearers, but the OpenRun Pro 2’s reduced clamping force and flexible construction enhance comfort.
Beyond sound quality, the OpenRun Pro 2 boasts an impressive battery life, lasting up to 12 hours on a single charge and now recharging via USB-C. They also come with AI-powered noise cancellation for calls, although its effectiveness in our tests was limited. Still, if you’re in the market for a comfortable and safety-conscious pair of headphones, these are a solid choice, especially for music or podcast listening.
Some additional deals to consider:
* Until April 13th, the white 14-ounce Ember Mug 2 Heated Coffee Mug is available for $79.99, a $70 discount and its best price yet. This self-heating smart mug allows you to set and save your preferred temperature between 125 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit through an app, notifying you when your drink reaches the desired temp. It keeps beverages warm for up to 80 minutes on battery or all day with the included charging coaster, and it conserves power by automatically waking and sleeping. Just keep in mind that while it’s water-resistant, it’s not dishwasher-safe, so hand washing is required.
* The Goliath Power Saber is on sale for $22.99, a $37 discount, available through April 4th. This lightsaber toy is the first to automatically extend to a full 35 inches and retract at the push of a button. While it doesn’t have official Star Wars branding or premium build quality, it still captures the essence of more advanced (and pricier) lightsaber props. It features motion-activated sound effects and can be displayed on the included stand or carried with the attached belt clip.
* Apple has just launched the second-generation AirPods Max, but if you want to save $150, the original model is currently priced at $399, matching its all-time low. The first-gen AirPods Max still deliver a premium experience with aluminum, stainless steel, and breathable mesh, along with excellent sound and noise cancellation, even if the newer version offers improvements and features like live translation with Apple’s new H2 chip.
