Silo Series Collector’s Edition Books Now Available at Over 60% Discount

Science fiction enthusiasts and fans of the Apple TV+ dystopian series Silo can snag stunning collectible editions of Hugh Howey’s acclaimed novels at fantastic prices right now. The Deluxe Collector’s Editions of the first two books in the Silo series are currently available for at least 50% off. The Wool Deluxe Collector’s Edition is now just $15.19 (down from $40), while the Shift Deluxe Collector’s Edition is priced at $20 (originally $40). After being out of print and quite pricey in hardcover for years, the first Collector’s Edition was announced by William Morrow. Released in late 2024, the Wool Deluxe Collector’s Edition has sold out multiple times since its debut. Shift Deluxe Collector’s Edition launched in September, and this new $20 price is the best deal yet.

With Season 3 of the Apple TV adaptation set to stream in 2026, it’s a perfect time to dive back into the source material. The first two seasons adapted the events of Wool, while Season 3 will explore the storyline of Shift, which occurs before Wool in the timeline. The fourth and final season will focus on Dust, the concluding book in Howey’s series. Speaking of Dust, the paperback and Kindle editions currently hint at an upcoming Deluxe Collector’s Edition, so preorders should be available soon. Once listed, you can find the Dust Deluxe Collector’s Edition on the Silo Series hub page.

Wool narrates a gripping tale of humanity’s struggle for survival in an underground silo, as the world above has become uninhabitable. The plot thickens when the sheriff abandons his duties, prompting mechanic Juliette to step in. What ensues is a thrilling sci-fi saga as Juliette seeks to uncover a world-altering conspiracy. Howey initially self-published Wool through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing in 2011, releasing it in serialized chunks reminiscent of 19th-century serialized novels. Wool quickly became a standout success on the Kindle platform, catching the attention of traditional publishers, leading to its first print edition in 2012. The series’ ongoing popularity paved the way for the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ adaptation. Additionally, the Silo Series boasts an excellent audiobook narrated by Edoardo Ballerini, with Audible members able to grab all three books for around $27, while non-members will pay about $32. A graphic novel adaptation of Wool was released in 2014 and is currently available in paperback for just $11.50 (down from $19).

Beyond the Silo series, Howey has penned several standalone novels and the best-selling duology, The Sand Chronicles. Here’s a look at some of Howey’s other works:

– The Sand Chronicles (Paperback)
– Sand: Book 1 — $12.49 (was $20)
– Across the Sand: Book 2 — $16 (was $20)
– Beacon 23: The Complete Novel (Paperback) — $11.29 (was $19)
– Half Way Home: A Novel (Paperback) — $11 (was $19)
– The Hurricane: A Novel (Paperback) — $14
– Machine Learning: New and Collected Stories — $10.49 (was $18)

Wool isn’t the only popular sci-fi novel that began as a digital-only serial. In 2011, the same year Howey started publishing on KDP, Andy Weir began sharing his sci-fi story The Martian on his blog before transitioning to Kindle. The Martian’s success on Kindle led to a print deal with a major publisher. Released in hardcover in 2014, its popularity soared, culminating in a blockbuster film adaptation starring Matt Damon in 2015. Coincidentally, Weir’s debut novel is set to receive a collectible hardcover edition this spring, which looks fantastic. The Martian Deluxe Edition is available for preorder at $35.42 (down from $38) ahead of its May 26 release.
