Skilled Dark Souls player conquers the entire trilogy without taking a hit, using a saxophone as their controller—making us all feel a bit less accomplished.

Dr. Doot, a streamer celebrated for tackling tough games with a saxophone as his controller, has achieved a remarkable feat by conquering Dark Souls without taking a single hit. This accomplishment means he has now completed the entire Dark Souls trilogy and Elden Ring without suffering any damage from enemies.

With a doctorate in music composition, Dr. Doot has carved out a niche for himself by playing challenging games exclusively on an electronic saxophone known as an aerophone. Not only has he navigated these four FromSoftware titles without being hit, but he has also finished Bloodborne and Sekiro in a deathless run.

He shared a clip on social media, highlighting his impressive, hitless battle against Dark Souls’ final boss, Gwyn, Lord of Cinder, which marked the conclusion of his run.

The World’s First Sax-Controlled Dark Souls No-Hit Run has been accomplished! I just beat Dark Souls without getting hit by any enemy or trap while playing on an electric sax! I can now proudly say that I have completed THE ENTIRE DARK SOULS TRILOGY HITLESS ON A SAX!!!

Dr. Doot doesn’t limit his dooting skills to just the hitless soulslike challenge; he also takes on other demanding games using his aerophone, including Cuphead, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon.

Having previously completed Hollow Knight on his instrument of choice, he now aims for full completion of this challenging Metroidvania, which includes tackling the additional Pantheons introduced in the Godmaster update, notorious for their extreme difficulty.

While the infamous Path of Pain isn’t required for the game’s 112% completion, he might still be persuaded to give it a shot.

After successfully completing a no-hit run of Dark Souls 3 with his saxophone controller, Dr. Doot has set his sights on Monster Hunter Wilds next.
