Who’s excited for some gaming action?! Today’s PlayStation State of Play, closely tied to the Summer Game Fest, marks one of the longest showcases from Sony in a while, giving them a prime opportunity to highlight what’s in store for the PS5’s final years. We’re set for an in-depth look at Insomniac’s upcoming Wolverine game, but the spotlight is also on updates from Sony’s first-party studios. Could we even get a sneak peek at something new? How about a fresh take on Ape Escape?

Whispers are already buzzing about a reveal from Santa Monica Studios, rumored to be a new God of War spin-off featuring Freya. Expect some major announcements from third-party partners as well. Will Sony finally unveil the much-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake part three, or will that reveal be saved for Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest later this week, just like in 2022?
