Sony’s upcoming State of Play event is set for this week and will last an hour.

The next State of Play showcase is set for February 12, as announced on the PlayStation Blog. This hour-long event will kick off at 5 p.m. EST and will feature a mix of first- and third-party games.

You can catch the State of Play on PlayStation’s Twitch or YouTube channels. If you’re particular about timing, the Twitch stream usually runs a few seconds ahead. While specific titles haven’t been confirmed, the blog post hints at a focus on exciting third-party and indie games coming to PS5, along with updates from PlayStation Studios.

Looking ahead, PlayStation’s first major release of 2026 is Marathon, an extraction shooter that has faced its share of challenges. It’s set to launch on March 5 for PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Following that, we have Saros, the latest action title from Housemarque, which is now scheduled for an April 30 release on PS5 after a quiet delay from its original March 20 date. Beyond these two, the rest of PlayStation’s 2026 lineup remains uncertain.

Marvel’s Wolverine, developed by Insomniac Games, is set in the same universe as the studio’s acclaimed Spider-Man titles. It’s one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year and is even seen by some as a potential Game of the Year contender against GTA 6, though it currently lacks a release date. Recently, Guerrilla Games unveiled Horizon Hunters Gathering, a cooperative multiplayer game featuring a more cartoonish art style, diverging from the high-resolution visuals that defined the dino-robot series. No release date has been announced for that either. Additionally, the fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is planned for 2026 but is still awaiting a confirmed launch date, although it is far enough along in development to have undergone positive beta testing.
