Spider-Man 2 Expected to Headline February’s PlayStation Plus Lineup

Dealabs is reporting that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available on PlayStation Plus this month. If you have a subscription and haven’t yet experienced Insomniac’s latest open-world superhero adventure, you’ll soon have the chance to dive in for free.

While Sony hasn’t made an official announcement, Dealabs claims that Spider-Man 2, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, and Neva will be included in February’s PlayStation Plus lineup. Spider-Man 2 is the standout title, arriving at a perfect time as Insomniac gears up for the next installment in their Marvel universe. Wolverine is set to launch on PS5 later this year, and although it won’t feature Peter Parker or Miles Morales, it will exist within the same universe, likely referencing the Spider-Men’s narratives.

Spider-Man 2 debuted on PS5 in 2023 and made its way to PC less than two years later. The sequel allows players to control both Peter and Miles, setting the stage for a potential third installment, which actor Yuri Lowenthal has confirmed is in development. The first two titles, Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, are already part of the PlayStation Plus catalog for Extra or Premium members, meaning subscribers can access the entire series.

We can expect official confirmation from Sony this week, especially with the State of Play presentation scheduled for Thursday. It’s likely they’ll showcase new footage of Wolverine, announce its release date, and highlight that you can now play all of Insomniac’s Marvel games on PlayStation Plus. It’s all about that brand synergy!
