Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation Set to Receive Exciting Update After Three Years
A new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day dropped on Wednesday, giving fans a fresh glimpse of the Hulk and Tom Holland’s transformation into the web-slinger, though it kept the film’s villain under wraps. PlayStation’s YouTube channel also shared the trailer, which included exciting news for fans of the Marvel’s Spider-Man games.
Spidey’s Brand New Day suit will be available in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on July 28, just ahead of the film’s release on July 31. This suit differs from Holland’s previous look in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which blended elements of his Iron Spider armor with his classic suit. The new design leans more towards a traditional Spider-Man aesthetic, featuring a straightforward blue-and-red outfit with mechanical web-shooters on Peter Parker’s wrists.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen MCU-inspired spider-suits in the open-world adventure. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 already includes suits like the Hybrid Suit from No Way Home, the Homemade Suit from Homecoming, and the Iron Spider Suit from Avengers: Infinity War, along with various outfits from Andrew Garfield’s and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man films. In total, the game boasts a wide array of spider-suits for both Peter and Miles Morales, including some rather questionable “Fly N’ Fresh” designs.
Released in 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 quickly became a contender for game of the year, with reviews praising its playful engagement with Marvel history. While there’s been no official announcement regarding a sequel, and developer Insomniac Games has remained tight-lipped about a potential Venom spinoff, fans can look forward to the studio’s next title.
Marvel’s Wolverine is set to unleash its fury on September 15, bringing even more excitement to the Marvel gaming universe.
