Spider-Man 2 Leads February’s Impressive PlayStation Plus Game Catalog
Sony has unveiled the exciting lineup of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog this February, adding to a recent wave of must-have games for subscribers. On February 17, Premium and Extra members can look forward to the best Spider-Man game yet, an emotional indie experience, and more.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 picks up where the first game and the Miles Morales spin-off left off, continuing the adventures of Peter and Miles as they swing through an expanded New York City that now includes parts of Queens and Brooklyn. Players can seamlessly switch between the two heroes, each with their unique abilities. Miles brings his electric Venom powers to the table, while Peter gets a fresh upgrade through his connection with the game’s symbiote. The story creatively reinterprets classic Spider-Man lore, including the origins of Venom. This open-world adventure has been praised for its fluid gameplay and smart combat enhancements, making players feel like true web-slingers.
If you’re a Spider-Man enthusiast within the PlayStation ecosystem, you might have already experienced Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which has sold over 11 million copies as of May 2024. However, you may not have tried the other standout title in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, Neva. This poignant 2D platformer from Nomada Studio, known for the touching game Gris, follows a young woman and her wolf-like companion as they navigate a beautifully corrupted world through the changing seasons. It’s been described as “devastatingly beautiful.”
In addition to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Neva, several other titles are set to join the Game Catalog this February.
The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for PS4 and PS5 is available to subscribers of the higher tiers, providing access to a vast library of games to download and enjoy.
