Spotify is empowering listeners to customize their Release Radar, one of its most beloved weekly playlists. With the new features, you can refine the playlist by genre, spotlight fresh artists, and more. Users can select from options like “Discover new artists,” “Editors’ picks,” and “Pop,” with up to five choices available. These updates are being rolled out on both mobile and desktop apps and will be visible at the top of your Release Radar once activated.

Additionally, Spotify is enhancing its algorithm to provide “more personalized recommendations,” along with a refreshed design that includes updated cover and header art.

This update is part of a series of recent enhancements Spotify has implemented to its main playlists and music discovery tools, including the introduction of new release suggestions curated by editorial staff, likely in response to the growing desire for more human touch in an increasingly algorithm-driven world.
